Our story

Built by educators
who wouldn’t settle.

BrainBuzzed exists to keep curious students engaged — and to build the programs that make that possible across Houston-area schools and communities.

BrainBuzzed students engaged in a hands-on STEAM activity
“None of them were bad at science. They were bored.”

BrainBuzzed Tutoring is a Houston company built on a stubborn conviction: hands-on learning isn’t a reward you earn after the worksheet — it’s how the learning happens in the first place.

What started as tutoring grew into STEAM programming, after-school partnerships, summer camps, and eventually a full mobile learning lab. Along the way the work earned partnerships with Houston ISD, Spring ISD, Alief ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Pasadena ISD, Goose Creek ISD, Lamar Consolidated ISD, Spring Branch ISD, Choice Partners Co-op, the Harris County Department of Education, charter networks, and the City of Houston.

The team brings 17+ years of combined classroom and enrichment experience — certified Houston tutors and STEAM specialists who have actually taught the standards they’re helping students master.

What we believe

Three principles we work to.

01

Curiosity first, excellence right behind it

Lead with the thing that makes a student lean forward. Bring the academics in while they’re still interested. Reverse that order and you lose them.
02

Small groups or it doesn’t count

A student who can hide in a group isn’t being tutored. Our groups stay small enough that every student gets called on, gets stuck, and gets helped.
03

Show up where students already are

Access shouldn’t depend on whether a family has a car and a free Saturday. We go to campuses, to after-school programs, and — with the STEAM Bus — straight into the parking lot.

Arrange a visit.

Whether you’re a parent, a campus, or a company — the fastest way to understand what we do is to talk to us.
